11 Nov Air Canada will be charging $20 for second checked bag

Air Canada has adjusted its baggage policy and will start charging $20 for second checked bags on domestic, Caribbean, Costa Rican and Mexican flights. The policy affects customers purchasing Economy Class tickets, effective today, (Tango, Tango Plus and Latitude fares) for travel on or after Jan. 19, 2011. The fee for a second checked bag will not apply to Air Canada Prestige, Elite, Super Elite members or Star Alliance Silver and Gold members. Air Canada’s second bag policy for flights to and from the US, Europe and other international destinations remains unchanged.
